PAIL sails forward with a mission to free individuals, Freedom from Incarceration.
We sail forward to help individuals, empower themselves through training and multiple disability training consultancy work.
Care in the community is for everyone — (refer to the poem below — Reality is the Womb of Privacy), but most importantly if you wish to work within PAIL you must embrace the philosophy - Equality of All.
Within PAIL the Direct Payment Act 1996 from the Independent Living Movement from the USA, has brought forth independent living through employing personal assistants and this is what you would do within the employment of PAIL.
About Andrea Giddens
Amsterdam brought freedom, and this Freedom from Incarceration (my logo). A beautiful country and a beautiful concept. The Direct Payment Act 1996 from The Independent Living Movement enables me to live independently and to see a beautiful country. We must all embrace this for every individual.
International travelling even with my own assistance dog, is freedom that should have been born for me when I was 21 and not 39 years old.
There is a delight in using and creating things from our own hands and being amongst people. Without assistance, though, I have many a time been unable to do my own pleasures, such as carpentry, which I dearly love to do.
When we socialize like anybody else, - Society would call it normal - I would just say I was happy with my friends knowing that there was a Personal Assistant available to help me if necessary. Again this is where the Independent Living Movement, employing one’s own Personal
Assistant rather than being in a high dependency nursing home, is a right to being in society and a preferable option.
I was happy, wouldn't you have been? It was just an ordinary day with friends.
There is sailing deep within my heart, and even my guide dog Velvet has born the rowing boat with me! However, we sigh though, as the tall ships are still a dream afar in my heart!! The waiting days for those employees to help me sail
those ships are distant in the oceans far, so far.
Oh I wish, I wish they would come to help me sail those ships, those ships so far, so far to distant waters, and make me so happy, happy!!
Training
PAIL offers training in multiple disability training issues:
- PAIL sails forth empowering and training individuals and persons who wish to embark her bows to re-kindle their spirits about care in the community and we all move forward and learn together.
- PAIL welcomes aboard everybody and empowers all, but traitors we leave afar.
- For those minds which are shut to the unthinking wilderness of profound disabilities, we will not welcome you aboard!
- PAIL’s crew—we are diverse but we have communication problems both mild and severe and nigh we cannot accept prejudice from the non-disabled community before embarking PAIL’s bows. So avast, hold you prejudices forthwith before embarking and cease, we only hold equality aboard this ship, aboard this ship!
- PAIL does not accept aboard her ship, those who wish to label our crew and prejudice them, shackling their boundaries of oceans independence ahead.

Reality is the Womb of Privacy
"To deny this, is to deny the reality of the privacy of those labelled: severely disabled, multiple disabled, or should I say 'profoundly disabled'.
Please, reader, let's look at what the words mean, 'profoundly disabled', and perhaps we can all learn together through education.
The so called inclusive integration of people with disabilities and, 'care in the community'.
Let's not forget that major dilemma to us all, having 'someone like that living next door to us'.
